Photography/Animation Workshop

The first workshop was a great success! We explored quite a few fundamentals in both photography and animation. There were good discussions and a tonne of creativity! I think everyone especially enjoyed the field trips over to Hawthorne to do some street photography and Laurelhurst Park to experiment with light diffusion. Upon returning, everyone was ready to take a break from photography. This was the perfect opportunity to put pencil to paper and create some cool animation. Check out some of their work in progress below...

Here's what one of the students said:

"I thought the class was actually pretty great. Especially for lasting for three days and five hours each, it felt like we got a lot done in that time. I've learned a tonne of new techniques in photography and animation, as well as the fact of focusing on two different topics in the same class is pretty neat! I had a lot more fun than I thought I would've."

Here's a few examples of the Student's work:

There are more Workshops offered throughout the summer if you are feeling the itch... For dates and times see the flyer posted under Teen Summer Workshop on the Home page.
